Unlike other brands, Alutec under braces are constructed from aerospace grade
aluminum, with similar properties as Alutec’s signature strut bar series.
Aerospace aluminum has superb tensile strength yet they’re super lightweight
– you’ll be surprised at how feather light an entire under brace set will
feel in your hands! Alutec breaks the tradition by manufacturing under braces in
aerospace aluminum as the raw materials are usually higher compared to normal metals
such as steel. Most brands will opt for such cheaper metals which are usually much
heavier than aerospace aluminum. However, since Alutec’s parent company is
one of the top raw aluminum materials supplier in its native country, Alutec is
able to bring down material costs, translating these into direct cost savings for
you, the customer. Our under brace sets are now priced competitively compared to
brands using cheaper but heavier metals, giving you superb value for money! These
under braces will greatly reduce chassis flex on your ride by connecting &

Alutec strut bars help enhance vehicle stability & handling capability (read our FAQ on how a strut bar works). Available in aerospace grade aluminum & carbon fiber for selected models. Aluminum series are constructed from grade 6061 (main tower bar) aerospace aluminum with the strut bar mountings using grade 7005 aerospace aluminum – supplied mainly by Alcoa USA (www.alcoa.com). Alutec breaks tradition by manufacturing an entire strut bar piece from aerospace aluminum, even the strut mounts. Most other brands use cheaper metals such as steel for strut mounts to keep manufacturing costs low. As Alutec’s parent company is a major global raw aluminum materials supplier, Alutec is able to manufacture all its strut bars entirely using aerospace aluminum, yet priced them competitively against brands made from inferior materials. This unique construction is hardly adopted in the market today and has 2 main advantages – Aerospace aluminum has superior tensile strength (Alutec strut bar tensile strength are certified between 29.5kg/mm2 to 42kg/mm2) & it’s also super lightweight. tensile strength compared to conventional pulleys made
of 6061 aluminum, yet lighter. Weighing between
650gms to 850gms for most models, these crank pulleys
come factory balanced, counter-weighted and features
ultra hard anodizing. Such hard anodizing is required
for superb durability and the ability to withstand extreme
